Everybody loved her
She was a diva
Teenage idol
Her photographs splashed
Billboards, magazines, everywhere
A sensation she was
The camera flashes blinded her
The fame constricted her
As her name went up
Her smile was plastered
Been just a few years
But, it’s not me, she thought
Taking a breath
She decided
Took some money
Disappeared
It was news
Oh, just for a few months
Now no one remembers
For there’s always somebody
To replace the limelight
Nice poem! It reminds me of The Lucky One by Taylor Swift. It’s scary how people can be forgotten and even replaced so easily, even for supposedly famous people.

Thank you Gwenice 🙂
I do agree, we are just forgotten, just like that.

Yes very true. Very nicely written. We are remembered only until we are in the focus, once we are out of that, we are easily forgetten.
