Shadows

Shadows were lurking
Creeping like slithering snakes
As she took each step

Her escape

Searching, on the run

I’m running in my shadows

Trying to find myself

I’m searching highs and lows

On the way losing myself

Cloaked darkness

Cloaked in black

Lurking in the shadows

Trembled the dark

To put forth it’s secrets
